This was a brand new experience for me, the VR games are surprisingly realistic and extremely fun to play. I would really recommend this place to anyone wanting an energetic experience with great service, after the games you can chill out in the underground games room with classic and new consoles.
Not the best VR studio I've been to.
Paid £35 each for all access package which includes a drink, 3 VR experiences and acess to the games lounge. Upon arriving they offer you a drink - for customers who don't drink alcohol they offer a cheap 50p can of fizzy drink or regualar tea/coffee. For the price I would expect a mocktail like they offer at Sandbox VR. You have to pay £6 extra for the mocktail!
The place is far too small - like a house. The racing game is placed right beside the reception / bar. Which means the other customers watch you the entire time. Not a comfortable experience.
Speaking of the racing game, one of the two driving seats were broken (as seen in my picture), which means you can't play the game with your partner, just solo. Don't feel like this is justified with the price. Also, the racing game is extremely nauseating. Worst VR game I've played hands down.
The explanation for the zombie shooting game was very sub par. Wasn't a coherent explanation of the rules of the game. Instructor was nice but seemed like inadequate training was undertaken to be completely honest. The game itself was enjoyable.
In between games, you have the option of going downstairs into the basement to play console games. As seen in my picture half the equipment is broken/ not properly maintained. We tried playing the Wii but the console kept bugging out and there was no sound. Considering there were 3 members of staff at reception just chatting away, I would expect them to spend some time maintaining the equipment. Also, my wife and I couldn't comfortably sit downstairs and play the Wii for long. There was a group of around 10 guys who were very rowdy and hung around for a very long time. The guy at the reception with the beard (can't remember his name) kept saying he would tell them to vacate, as they had gone over their allocated time. But after an hour they were still there, so we decided to no longer stick around.
I think the chap with the balaclava on his face was were very friendly and professional. He explained the rules of the last game, "the place with no name", very well. He was very professional and good at being versatile with communicating with all types of customers.
Overall, the price of £35 per person was not justified. I think for this experience I wouldn't pay more than £15.
Virtual Reality gaming lounge. I'd never been to something like this before, really cool experience. Must try once! I walked in and didn't need a reservation.
Great staff, super friendly host.
Games range from £10 to £5 per session.
Downstairs retro gaming lounge and karaoke bar.
Great little VR Arcade! Easy to get to, has an awesome retro lounge area downstairs, and the zombie shooter was really enjoyable. One point of feedback, is the HMDs could do with an upgrade. I know how costly that can be (Trust me, I've been there before with my setup at home!) but I think it would benefit the experience of future customers in the long term. Staff were lovely and explained our event package in detail. Highly recommend checking this place out if you've never played VR before! 8/10
Really great fun. Little hidden gem.
Playing the zombie shooting game and feeling the hits was amazing.staff really friendly and a great price. Would recommend in a heartbeat and will be back soon I am sure.
Spent a nice evening here, with some good cocktails fun games and the open vr world was a particular highlight for me! Staff were also friendly and were genuinely excited to show us the new stuff they had been working on - definitely recommend!
amazing place! the people were so nice and the games were very fun! the zombies were super realistic and we had so much fun! prices were fair and the place had a great vibe overall, we would come back again for sure!
This place is fun! Staff is very friendly and the interior is Tokyo inspired, super quirky. The retro arcade is very cool too. It would be great if the 1-hour experience includes the place with no name gaming.
